But my story doesn't begin there - at least, not really.
My mother served aboard the USS James Fenimore Cooper during the Dominion War, as an expert in Subspace Sciences.
My father was a tactical officer aboard the USS Washington Irving, and when the ship was crippled during the First Battle of Cardassia, he was reassigned to the USS Calimshan.
When several ships needed a crew rotation to replace officers that had been wounded during the First Battle of Chin'toka, Doctor Alicia Redd came aboard the Calimshan...
The rest is history, as they say....
